About our Plums, Black Splendour (Organic)

Juicy plums, grown on one of our organic fruit farms. When they're UK grown, theyre usually from ID Pardoe, a family farm in Ipswich. Otherwise, sunny Spanish varieties, Delish!

Storage Tips:

  • Refrigeration: To keep plums fresh and preserve their juiciness, store them in the refrigerator. Place ripe plums in the crisper drawer and unripe ones in a paper bag to ripen gradually.
  • Freezing: If you have an abundance of plums, consider freezing them for later use. Simply wash, pit, and slice the plums before placing them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Once frozen, transfer the slices into an airtight container or freezer bag for up to six months.


How to Eat/Cook:

  • Fresh and Raw: Enjoy plums as a nutritious and delicious snack on their own. Rinse them under cool water, remove the pit, and bite into the sweet and tangy fruit.
  • Grilled Plums: Elevate the flavor of plums by grilling them. Cut the plums in half, remove the pit, and grill the halves on medium heat for a few minutes until they develop grill marks. Serve them as a side dish or dessert with a drizzle of honey and a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
